In case you don’t know about the local papers—I suppose “tabloids” can be used to segregate them from the classy and regal New York Times—a little proof positive that the NY Post is very chummy with Fox News and into promoting conservative concepts on New York’s populace (as if reading Andrea Peyser wasn’t enough. Or the mug shots of negroes).

There’s no link to the article because I wouldn’t want you to sign up for the NY Post (though it’s free); you don’t need to get dumber. Read the Daily News instead. That way you won’t think about boycotting stores that won’t put Christmas in their advertisements.

There is no surprise since the Post and Fox News are both owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. Also, there is a website that allows you to get free logins to newspaper sites without signing up.

i saw this over someone's shoulder on the train this morning and at first i was disgusted. but i also kind of feel like, you know what, it IS a christmas tree. because i do kind of hate the assumption that since christmas has become so commercialized i, as a jew, should just celebrate it anyway and get into the holiday spirit. (i could be wrong about what the article actually said though.)

and finally, fox corp pays my bills, so i can only have so much outrage.

some member of the town council, who is jewish, apparently objected to the blessing of the tree.

it's an argument. not "treeson."

and as for the whole stores not using the word christmas, it's offensive when stores make christmas the season of excessive buying. versus the season of giving and or repentance, because that's kinda the idea.

but repentance is not a revenue line-item.

That's right neverecho. Jesus has love in his heart for you, no matter how much you hate. You have a place in His Kingdom...

i think i'm late on this one. but guess what, it's a christmas tree. i'm pretty sure that no other contemporary holidays use a tree, especially not indecember, therefore it's a christmas tree. get over it. and christmas has very little to do with christ. this isn't a new thing that has to do with the commercialization of everything and shit. it almost never had anything to do with christ. baby jesus be damned, and i believe he was born in july. damn cancer babies.
